We can hope for the world to change. Or we can take action.
Fighting for LGBTQ equality means persistent action. As a proud member of the LGBTQ community (yes, your gaydar is accurate!) I am passionate about LGBTQ issues. It’s important to wear my pride and fight for marriage equality, workplace protections under the law, healthcare coverage and funding to end homelessness among LGBT youth. I strongly believe that awareness, fundraising and political support are key steps to creating real change.
Over the past five years, I’ve volunteered with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) in Washington D.C. and I’ve lead fundraisers and community events in San Diego. I’m ready to take my expertise in media as the publisher of College Magazine and further support the LGBT movement. We need more awareness, pride and political support. This inspired me to launch LGBT Outfitters.
On LGBT Outfitters, our articles feature incredible organizations fighting for equality and key LGBTQA leaders in the community. Meanwhile, our products spread positivity and awareness. The designs are perfect for Pride parades but also relevant for daily life, from working out at the gym or a weekend brunch. Even moms can wear our “I’m Magical” tees.
Each month 10% of our proceeds from LGBT Outfitters benefits the True Colors Fund. Did you know that 40% of young people experiencing homelessness identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender? The True Colors Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works at the federal, state and local levels to ensure funding, policies, systems and protections are in place to meet the needs of these LGBT youth.
When you support LGBT Outfitters, you support our mission to make a difference in fighting for LGBT equality and you help to protect LGBT homeless youth. Thank you for your incredible support!
